These paintings take the symbol work and contain the idea as a smaller iconic note. I started working with the whites and translucence to give exhibitions a resting point in the mix of the maximal works dense with color, pattern and texture. I look at these as an alphabet.

Impressed with the results of the mixed medium for their light and atmosphere I started reducing the symbols into biomorphic shapes. I am interested in the meditative quality of these. I try to mix what seem like feminine forms with slightly masculine graphing and architectural qualities. These really work on a large or small scale.
